Let's Get Introduced!

You really want to know more about me??? Oh, all right then...

I was born on June 30, 1950 - half way through the year that marked half-way through the last century. So that makes me incredibly old, I hear you say. I have two grown up kids and two (nearly grown-up) grandchildren. Our daughter has done her duty, but I'm waiting patiently for our son to perform. (Any single girls in their mid-to-late thirties out there...?) And I've been married for 41 years to the same guy.

I've had a varied life, having been in the military for a few years, before going on to work for the British Ministry of Defence in London as a civilian. Then I had myself re-educated back at University, where I got myself a couple of degrees (in Geography, with a Master's in History). I still have an active interest in Anglo-Saxon and medieval history, and I've written a couple of books on the subject which I'm slowly preparing for publication.

After that, I was employed by a major U.S. law firm to manage the administration of their London office. I was there for over twelve years and supervised the enlargement of the practice... and saw a lot of interesting things going on, which have given me the inspiration to write a lot of my books. Then, to fill in the fifteen years before I hit my sixtieth birthday, I worked as a management consultant.

And now let's talk about erotic romance. I still love sex - the good news is that there really is life after menopause - and although I may not have the energy to do a lot of the more ambitious things that young people do, I still enjoy writing about it, and one of the big pleasures for me is that my readership spreads right the way round the world.

I've been spending more time writing in that genre recently - but, after my current work in progress there is finished, I'll be back to complete a number of stories I started in erotic romance.

Regrets? I'd like to see my daughter and her children more often. I've wasted a lot of time in my earlier years, and I made some very unwise financial decisions so I'm not as well-off as I'd like to be in this stage of my life. But hey, let's not get ourselves miserable here. Life has been good to me - and some pleasant surprises arrived to change things round for me just when I needed something to happen.
